Will I have my own room?

All accommodation is for single occupancy, with shared bathroom facilities typically at a ratio of one bathroom for every four participants. Where facilities are shared, students are separated by gender on different corridors to ensure privacy and comfort.
Which college will I stay in?

Your assigned college will be confirmed closer to the program start date, and you will be notified in advance. Your welcome pack will include details about the college you will stay in - all our partner colleges are centrally located, and each has its own unique culture and character.
What is your approach to student safeguarding?

We take student safety and wellbeing very seriously, and have implemented the following processes and policies to ensure safeguarding for all students during the summer course:
• There is 24 hour onsite supervision by Senior Staff
• We have comprehensive student insurance to cover physical and mental wellbeing
• Students are accommodated in small corridor groups that are easy to supervise and manage
What’s included in the program fee?

The participation fee encompasses:
• 13 nights’ accommodation in a private room, within a centrally-located college at the University of Cambridge or the University of Oxford
• Breakfast and dinner in the College Hall
• 40 hours of academic sessions led by esteemed Oxbridge tutors
• Carefully curated study materials and lecture content
• A comprehensive mentor program and access to support resources
• All excursions, including formal dinners, punting, croquet, etc
• Comprehensive insurance coverage
• Two coach excursions to London and one of Oxford or Cambridge
• A graduation ceremony and a certificate of participation
• A personalised written assessment from your tutor

How fluent do I need to be in English?

Our tutors are experienced in teaching a diverse range of students, including those from various linguistic backgrounds. We recommend a minimum English proficiency level of B2 to fully benefit from the program’s academic rigour.
What happens after I enrol?

Upon receiving your enrollment details, you will receive formal confirmation within 48 hours. This confirmation secures your place on the program and includes your welcome pack, which contains essential information on packing lists, student conduct, airport transfers, and visa information. Shortly thereafter, we will send an invoice for the remaining balance to the email address provided during enrollment.
I am not applying to Cambridge or Oxford; can I still enrol?

Absolutely! Our program is designed for any self-motivated student eager to explore their chosen subject under the guidance of expert tutors. Many of our students will go on to study at prestigious institutions around the world.
What are the entry requirements?

Our programs are tailored to provide ambitious young students with a taste of university-level subjects. Most students will have studied their focus program subject previously, to GCSE or A-level standard.
How many subjects can I choose to study?

Participants select one subject to focus on during their two-week summer program, allowing for a deeper exploration of the subject’s various facets.
How do I enrol?

Are you affiliated with Cambridge or Oxford University?

Oxbridge Insights is not formally affiliated with Cambridge University or Oxford University. However, we contract with colleges, teaching staff, and students in a private capacity.
What do I need to bring with me?

Upon registration, you will receive a packing list of recommended items for the course. Students are required to bring a personal laptop to get the most out of academic activities in the classroom.
When is the enrollment deadline?

Due to high demand, we recommend registering as soon as possible, as places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If a program is full, you will be placed on a waiting list and contacted if a spot becomes available. As mentioned in the Further Information section, enrolling by the 20th December 2024 secures a £500 discount on the program fee.
If I have to cancel, will I get my money back?

What will I receive after the program?

Participants receive a Certificate of Participation during the graduation ceremony on the final day. Additionally, tutors provide personalised feedback, evaluating progress and offering recommendations for further academic development.

Our programs are ideal for motivated students seeking to explore their subject in greater depth. Our target cohort is 16 to 18-year-olds, who are studying for their A-levels or International Baccalaureate
