Tutors
Our outstanding tutors provide the highest quality subject matter, materials, content and teaching. Our tutors are Oxbridge educated and are already working or studying at the highest level academic institutions in the world.
Our tutors are academics, researchers or post-graduates within their specialist fields. At Oxbridge Insights tutors work with our Senior staff to curate the very best academic programmes. Each student will receive their course outline and materials shortly before their start date.
Mentors
Oxbridge Insight mentors live on-site alongside students, and are available round the clock. All of our mentors are Oxbridge undergraduates, and they are the first point of contact for any queries or concerns.
Mentors supervise and manage an amazing schedule of daily activities, and participate in all weekend excursions alongside the full cohort of students.
Each Mentor looks after a small sub-group of students, called a Mentor Family. Every student is a part of a family from the minute they arrive, and there are various prizes and awards for each family throughout the social programme.
Students meet with their mentor family 3 times a day (in the morning before class, in the afternoon before the afternoon activity and in the evening before the evening activity) to catch-up and run through the day’s activities.
Supervision
Student safety is our top priority. Oxbridge Insights has experienced staff on-hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to assist and supervise students.
To ensure that each student is able to enjoy their time safely, they are given:
Clear geographical parameters: students must not leave college, without signing in or signing out.
A curfew of 10pm, at which point students must be in their rooms. Students are, under no circumstances, to have anyone other than themselves in their room.
Instructions to remain with at least 1 other person from the programme when not on college grounds.
A lanyard, with their name and the contact numbers of Oxbridge Insights staff, which must be worn at all times.
Our mentor team are always enthusiastic and responsible individuals who are already studying at Oxford and Cambridge and are the first port of call, whether early morning or late night.
Any actions or behaviour deemed by Oxbridge Insights staff to endanger or negatively impact the experience of other students or staff, will result in the removal of the student from the programme. Please see Terms & Conditions for further details.
GROUP BOOKINGS
We welcome school groups from around the world to participate in our Oxbridge Insights programmes. Most will join our existing programmes, taking advantage of the international nature of our courses and student body. Other groups may have specific needs and require a bespoke programme at a specified time of year. Drawing upon our expertise, network and infrastructure, Oxbridge Insights is able to meet the needs of any educational group at any time of the year. For more information please contact us here.
Although there are no strict academic prerequisites for enrolment, participants are required to submit a summary of their educational background upon joining the programme. Tutors receive this information in advance and use it to tailor their approach during the academic sessions, ensuring a suitable and enriching experience for all participants.
The curriculum across all subjects and programmes is crafted to provide a level of instruction appropriate for students’ academic backgrounds, promoting an engaging and intellectually stimulating learning environment.
English Language Proficiency
Our tutors, experienced in instructing a diverse cohort of international undergraduate students, are well-equipped to support participants from various linguistic backgrounds. However, due to the academically intensive nature of the programme, a minimum English proficiency level of B2 is recommended for non-native speakers to fully engage with the content and derive maximum benefit from the sessions.
At Oxbridge Insights, our tutors are not merely educators but distinguished mentors and experts, meticulously chosen from world leading institutions such as Oxford and Cambridge. They bring an unparalleled depth of knowledge and expertise, tailoring each student’s academic journey to their individual aspirations.
